DESCRIPTION

The MakerBot Replicator 2X is a desktop 3D printer comes with the same features as the MakerBot Replicator 2 but with the addition of dual extrusion, heated build platform. The MakerBot Replicator 2X prints high quality models with layer resolution of 100 microns. The MakerBot Replicator 2X promises to be a big step in affordable 3D printer technology building on the fantastic development of the Replicator 2. Re-engineered components and design developments means prints of higher quality parts for more professional parts with a large build area.

The MakerBot Replicator 2X comes fully assembled and tested and includes purpose MakerBot designed software called MakerWare. This makes it easier and faster to set up builds for the Replicator 2X and you can be printing within minutes of getting your 3D printer out of the box. The dual extruder and heated build platform also means that those who already know how to use a 3D printer can explore the possibilities of dual extrusion printing. Experiment with multi material prints, dissolvable supports, varying resolutions and varying densities etc.

The MakerBot Replicator 2X is optimised to manufacture parts in ABS plastic which is a strong flexible plastic that is used to make many everyday items such as Lego.
